Enrolling as a student
Oakridge College is one of the richest ways into Briarmont. It hands you classmates, clubs, a dorm, and a standing reason to be in town, which is most of what a new character needs.

Note. Admissions is a walk, not a form. There is nothing to fill in and nothing to submit, and this guide deliberately stops short of telling you how it goes.
Getting in
Admissions happens in-world, at Oakridge, and it starts in the admin building. Go and have a look round the entrance hall. You will know the right thing when you see it, and once you have found it the rest follows on its own.
From there it takes you around the campus. Keep moving and read what arrives: every step happens because you went somewhere or touched something, so there is never a menu to go hunting through. Admission reaches you during the walk rather than at the end of it, and your character comes away with a letter worth keeping.
The middle of it is not written down here on purpose. Walking it cold is the point, and it runs about as long as a decent scene.
Then come classes
Choosing what you study is separate from being admitted, and it comes after. Two decisions, in this order:
Your major is what your character is reading for. Your courses are the individual classes you take under it, and they are where your weekly timetable comes from.
You can browse the catalog before you ever log in, and you are not locked in by choosing early. Switching a major later costs credits, so it is worth a look first. Plenty of students play their first term without a firm plan and let the scenes decide it.
Where students actually spend their time
Classes give you a schedule. Clubs, teams and Greek houses give you the people, and they are the reason most student characters stay busy. Athletics, the student council, the disciplinary committee and the Greek chapters all take new members, and each comes with its own standing calendar of scenes.
