The Psychology program is designed for students who want an academic foundation in the mind and behavior — clinical and research foundations alike. It is intended for future therapists, counselors, HR professionals, and the odd criminal-profiler type.
The program combines a progressive psychology sequence with anatomy and physiology and ethics. The Behavioral Science concentration adds biology — the science of why people act — for students leaning toward research or clinical pathways.
Together, these requirements are intended to prepare students for counseling-support, human-services, and research-assistant roles, and continued study in psychology or the health sciences.

A completed Associate in Psychology transfers in full; bachelor candidates complete the associate coursework plus:

Concentrations
Behavioral Science — adds biology to the core sequence: the science of why people act. Declared after entering the major; no separate application.
Graduation Requirements
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours (Associate) or 120 credit hours (Bachelor)
- Successful completion of all required departmental coursework
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0
- A grade of C or higher in all core program requirements
- Completion of a capstone research or applied-practice project
