Justifiable mutual combat, assault/battery, homicide, stand your ground/no duty to retreat also known as castle doctrine, is permissible, allowable by law in defense of self, others, and property is legal warranted if there is imminent threat of harm, dismemberment, mayhem or death, reasonable belief in the threat, and that proportional force used. Peace officers may only use deadly force only, when necessary, in defense of human life.
