The Department of Career Programs runs the college's trade-facing associates and certificates — practical programs that put a working skill in a student's hands in one to two years.
It is the fastest door into working life at Oakridge: kitchens, offices, stages, sets, and job sites around Briarmont are staffed by its alumni.

The department is led by its Department Chair and staffed through the standard Oakridge faculty ladder — Tenured Professor, Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Instructor, Adjunct Faculty, and Teaching Assistant.
