300 - Purpose and Roleplay Philosophy

300.1 PURPOSE

Hartwell General Hospital is a roleplay-focused teaching hospital within Second Life. The goal is to provide realistic, immersive, and enjoyable medical roleplay for everyone in the community, regardless of their experience level.

While realism is encouraged, the enjoyment of everyone involved always comes first.

300.2 ROLEPLAY PHILOSOPHY

Every patient interaction should tell a story. Rather than rushing through medical procedures, staff should create engaging experiences that allow all participants to contribute to the scene.

Remember:

• Roleplay is collaborative.
• Patients are not spectators.
• Every scene should allow others to respond.
• Medical knowledge should enhance roleplay, not end it immediately.

Good roleplay creates memorable stories, not simply quick treatments.
